Simplifying Stripe integration with Launchpad Boosters

Pratima Edarapalli,

Integrating a payment gateway can often be a complex and time-consuming task. However, in Launchpad, we’ve streamlined the process of integrating payment solutions by offering the Stripe Payment Gateway Booster, a ready-to-use set of rules that simplifies connectivity with Stripe’s services. Using this booster, we were able to help providers (Launchpad clients) enable secure and scalable payment flows for their end users. With just a single click, all the necessary rules and configurations were installed directly into the provider’s Authoring Studio, making the integration seamless and instant. Here's how we did it...

One of our providers needed to enable Stripe Checkout for one-time payments and Stripe Subscribe for recurring billing to manage their end-user transactions. These services are essential for handling secure payments, subscriptions, and customer lifecycle events.

Step 1: One-click booster installation

With Launchpad boosters, all essential Stripe rules and configurations were seamlessly deployed into the provider’s Authoring Studio with a single click. This included:

  • Preconfigured rules for integrating with Checkout and Subscribe services.
  • Secure token management and automated polling setup.
  • Comprehensive configuration sets for subscriber-level management.

Step 2: Applying Stripe rules to provider workflows

After installing the Stripe Booster from Launchpad.io, a complete set of Stripe-related rules becomes available within a new branch, in the provider’s Authoring Studio. The provider’s developer can then connect the relevant Stripe rule, such as the "Stripe Checkout" data connection, to existing workflows within the studio. This is virtually the only coding required from the developer. No need to manually code or configure the integration logic. The booster rules handle everything behind the scenes, making the process incredibly easy and saving substantial development time.

Step 3: Configuring Stripe settings in provider environment

After the Stripe Booster is installed, it automatically ships a set of configuration parameters into the provider’s environment. These include essential values such as:

  • Endpoint URLs
  • Stripe Price IDs
  • API Keys

That’s it! The developer is now ready to test the complete workflow with Stripe integration fully included and activated. This is how powerful Launchpad Boosters are, saving a considerable amount of development time and making the coding experience smoother and more effortless than ever before.
